#LetThemRide: Petition to help athletes from Gaza to participate in the Paris 2024 Paralympics

Gaza Sunbirds are a team of para-cycling athletes founded in 2020 with the objective of representing Palestine at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Their base is in the Gaza Strip.

They are aiming to accede to the qualifications for the Paris 2024 Paralympics which will be held in Italy and Belgium. If they do not receive the necessary visas, their dream to bring the Palestinian flag to the Paralympic Games will fade.

Alaa al-Dali, founder and captain, and Mohammed Asfour, member of the team, together with the athlete Waheed Rabah, have been successfully evacuated to Egypt where they will wait for their visas.  

Gaza Sunbirds athletes have launched a petition to push the Italian and Belgian governments to ensure and accelerate the procedures for the release of the necessary visas.
